01

Your Photos Stay on Your Phone

KeepIt: Photo Cleaner ("KeepIt", "we", "our", or "us") is a photo-cleaning app published by Batuhan Çam under the Baemtech imprint, available on the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android), with information at baemtech.com/keepit. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app handles, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.

By downloading or using KeepIt, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

🔒 Our promise: KeepIt never uploads your photos or videos. They are read, sorted and deleted entirely on your device. There is no KeepIt account, no cloud storage, and we never sell your data.

02

Photo Library Access

KeepIt asks for access to your photo library because that is the whole point of the app: showing you photos to keep or delete. With that access, the app on your device:

  • Displays your photos and videos so you can swipe through them.
  • Reads file sizes, dates, album membership and similar metadata to build packs such as Biggest files, Similar shots, months and years.
  • Compares photos on your device to group near-duplicates (Similar shots).
  • Deletes the photos you choose, only after you confirm. On iOS and Android your phone shows its own confirmation, and deleted items go to Recently Deleted (where available) for about 30 days.

None of this leaves your device. Your photos, their contents, their location data and their metadata are never sent to us or to any third party. If you grant limited access (only selected photos), KeepIt works with just those photos. You can change or revoke access at any time in your device settings.

03

Data Stored on Your Device

To remember your progress, KeepIt keeps a small amount of data in the app's local storage on your phone:

  • Your Keep / Delete / Later marks, so photos you already sorted are not shown again.
  • Statistics such as photos sorted, photos deleted and space freed.
  • Your daily delete count for the free version.
  • Preferences such as theme and language.

This data stays on your device. You can clear marks and statistics from Settings inside the app, and everything is removed when you uninstall KeepIt.

04

Advertising (Free Version)

The free version of KeepIt shows ads served by Google AdMob, including optional rewarded ads that add extra deletes for the day. KeepIt Gold subscribers see no ads.

  • Consent: if you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, KeepIt shows Google's consent form before any ad is requested. You can choose whether ads may be personalized.
  • App Tracking Transparency (iOS): KeepIt asks for your permission before your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) can be used. If you decline, the identifier is not shared.
  • Android: Google Mobile Ads may use the Android advertising ID. You can reset it or opt out of personalized ads in your device's Google settings.
  • Without consent or tracking permission, ads are requested as non-personalized ads.

To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device information such as the advertising identifier (when permitted), IP address, device model, operating system, app version and ad interactions. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). Ads never receive your photos or anything about them.

05

KeepIt Gold Subscriptions

KeepIt Gold is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store and Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see or store your card details.

We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active and to restore purchases. RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous app user ID, your purchase receipts and transaction history for KeepIt, and basic device information (such as platform, app version and country of the store). It does not receive your name, email address or photos. RevenueCat's privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings.

06

Third-Party Services

KeepIt has no backend server of its own. The only third parties involved are:

  • Google AdMob and the Google User Messaging Platform — ads and consent in the free version (see Section 04).
  • RevenueCat — subscription status and purchase restore (see Section 05).
  • Apple App Store and Google Play — app distribution, payments, and optional app ratings and crash reports you share through your device settings.

We do not use analytics SDKs, do not sell or rent personal data, and do not share data with data brokers.

07

Permissions on Your Device

  • Photos (read and modify): required to show your library and delete the photos you choose.
  • Tracking (iOS, optional): only used for ad personalization, and only if you allow it.
  • Internet access: used to load ads, check subscription status and process purchases. Your photos are never transmitted.

KeepIt does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, precise location or calendar.

08

Children's Privacy

KeepIt is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, contact us and we will help remove it.

09

Your Rights & Choices

Because KeepIt has no accounts and keeps your library data on your device, you are in control of almost everything directly:

  • Revoke photo access, tracking permission or ad personalization at any time in your device settings.
  • Ask us to help change your ad consent choice (EEA/UK/Switzerland), or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.
  • Clear KeepIt's marks and statistics in the app, or uninstall the app to remove all local data.
  • For data held by Google or RevenueCat, you may exercise your rights (access, deletion, objection) through us or directly with them.

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EEA/UK, KVKK in Türkiye, CCPA/CPRA in California), you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We do not sell personal information as defined under California law.

10

Security & Retention

  • Your photos are never transmitted, so they cannot be exposed by our servers — we do not have any.
  • Communication with Google and RevenueCat uses encrypted HTTPS/TLS.
  • Local data is kept until you clear it or uninstall the app.
  • Purchase records are retained by Apple, Google and RevenueCat as required for billing, tax and legal purposes.
11

Updates to This Policy

When we make significant changes, we will update the 'Last updated' date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
